SlideShare: Content Marketing via Presentations, Infographics, and Video
Are you familiar with SlideShare? It’s owned by LinkedIn and offers users the opportunity to show quality presentations. It has only been getting bigger over the last few years, and a lot of companies are just now beginning to understand its uses and value.
A couple of well-designed presentations are a great way to promote your company by displaying useful content. SlideShare is an excellent example of content marketing done correctly. It provides an additional outlet for top companies to post their content, and is the only outlet that holds a professional atmosphere while maintaining a presentation’s look and feel. Great companies such as Dell, Netflix, and NASA take full advantage of SlideShare. By sharing industry-related information, these companies help drive even more website traffic. All you need to get started is a LinkedIn account.
If you are putting on a webinar, I recommend sharing the presentation on SlideShare. If it isn’t in a ready-to-read mode, chances are it’s close. Simply add a few notes and bullets to the presentation and share it. Also, be sure to include keywords in your filename. Keywords and phrases will help make it easier for individuals to find your presentation when searching for related words. How-to guides are a fantastic way to lure in potential readers. They can be short, sweet, and informative. Overall, the more content you have on the more platforms, the better. Using SlideShare puts you one platform above the competition.
LinkedIn has a lot to offer in the professional world. With SlideShare, the amount of accessible industry-related information has drastically increased. SlideShare offers more than 15 million professional presentations, infographics, videos, how-to guides, data and analytics reports, industry research, thought-leadership articles, Q&As, DIY instructions, visual guides, and more. It’s the perfect app for following your favorite companies, or just getting some quick tips on everyday work topics. SlideShare is for individuals who are always on a quest for knowledge, or who always try to learn and develop their strengths and weaknesses.
A few of the presentations under the business section include tips for entrepreneurs, motivating and engaging workers, the hierarchy of engagement, and the art of the presentation. SlideShare has over 30 different topics, ranging from technology all the way to leadership. It allows you to branch out on your interests and view presentations that relate to your specific industry. As a student, I have even used SlideShare a few times for parts of research papers, as well as group projects.
